Why combine trail running and spiritual accompaniment?
Running can give you the chance to get out of your head and into your body – to get below the surface chatter of your mind to a deeper level of connection with God and yourself. Being out in nature, being fully present and aware, calms the mind and reconnects you with what’s most important.
Spiritual accompaniment provides time and space to be and reflect on your journey with God – a time to be listened to by someone, and for us to listen to the deeper, quieter voice of God.
Combining the two creates a profound conversation between yourself and God, within the safe holding space of trained guides and a community of like-minded women.
How fit do I need to be to take part?
We seek to be inclusive of all runners of any pace – our runs are typically at a slower pace, with stops for reflection and often including walking sections, since our goal is to be present in the space and notice what’s going on in and around us. You may find our group runs are therefore slower than your usual pace.
